SPECIALISED STRUCTURES
........................................................................................................................................................................
The application of shade fabric to Specialised Structures has led to a
more extensive product range which can be easily adapted to suit a
variety of specialised applications.
Support structures can be created using pre-formed structural steel elements,
as shown in the images alongside, or formed by using solid fibre glass rods.
Where structural steel is used a Sail Track is fixed to each element into which
the fabric is inserted to secure it in position. When fibre glass rods are used
these are inserted into pockets sewn onto the covering fabric and then attached
to base plates.
The fabric used in both structure types is Knittex Z25 Colourshade Fabric.
Both of these methods offer an aesthetically pleasing architectural alternative
to create something different for the hospitality and commercial sectors.
