Shade Sails International S.A. is THE leading supplier of Shade Sails and Sail products in South Africa.

The company was established in 2000, following which it underwent an intensive period of Research & Development culminating in its official commercial launch in 2002.

With the introduction of ‘CAD’ design capability we are able to demonstrate both a plan and elevation of the sail layout and also the path of the sun and how the shade provided by the sail/s is affected during the course of the day.

Shade Sails runs an ongoing programme aimed at achieving technical innovation in the fabrication and design of its product range. An example being our design and incorporation of a non-stretch perimeter webbing with a 2500kg ultimate breaking strain which allows for Sails to obtain improved perimeter tension, alignment and shape when attached to the supporting rigging.

This concept, as well as the use of Adjustable Rail Brackets, was developed by Shade Sails in our efforts to supply a superior and more durable product range.

Each client installation is unique, consequently all proposals put forward by us are custom-designed so as to provide the best possible solution to individual considerations such as layout, architectural features, design scheme and budget.
